The Avenel houses are of destinctive 'Arts & Crafts' design by the internationally renowned architect Hugh Petter of Robert Adam Architects. The designs are based on the use of traditional building techniques such as solid walls and floors, natural sandstone detailing and high quality interiors. The houses are being constructed by craftsman builders with attention to detail rarely seen in modern day house building.

Each generously proportioned home enjoys extensive, well established private gardens with mature trees and shrubs. Each house is carefully located in order to provide its occupants with complete privacy. The Avenel estate includes a private woodland where paths wind through Scots pines and mountain ash to the banks of the River Gryffe - almost 3 acres of secluded woodland shared by only six Avenel homes.
